Privacy and terms

Easy Does It is a free, personal project. This page explains what it collects and the ground rules for using it. Last updated October 2026.

What we collect

Just reading the guides collects nothing from you. The site has no ads, no tracking cookies and no accounts.

If you send a suggestion through the suggestion box, we keep: what you typed (the title, any details, and a name if you chose to give one), when you sent it, the kind of browser you used, and a scrambled form of your internet address plus a partial address (for example 203.0.113.x). We cannot turn the scrambled form back into your full address.

Why

To read your idea, show you its status, and block spam and abuse. Only the site owner can see suggestions. We do not sell or share them.

Who can send suggestions

You must be 18 or older to send a suggestion. Please do not enter your full name, contact details or anything private in the suggestion box.

Removing something

To have a suggestion deleted, send a new suggestion titled “Remove my suggestion” and say which one. It will be removed once it is seen.

Where it is stored

The site and its database run on Cloudflare, which also handles the connection to your browser and sees visitors’ internet addresses as part of providing that service. See Cloudflare’s own privacy policy for how it handles that.

Using the guides

The guides are general tips and are not professional advice. Cooking involves heat, knives and food safety, and home fixes can involve ladders, tools and electricity. Use them at your own risk, follow manufacturer instructions and safety warnings, and ask a qualified person when something is beyond what you are comfortable doing. Easy Does It is not responsible for injury or damage that results from following a guide.

Suggestions you send

Sending a suggestion is a request, not a promise: it may never be turned into a guide, and it may be removed if it is spam or inappropriate. By sending one, you let us use the idea to make a guide. Please do not send material copied from other people’s work.

Changes
